The learning outcome of the programme is to equip the student with the
necessary abilities to analyse the complex and interacting issues of a

Programme Structure
This programme has 2 stages. Students need to complete 4 modules in PgD SBIT by NCC Education before they can do the top up of 2 modules from UOP to be awarded a MSc SBIT.
*Candidates will only proceed to the MSc SBIT upon successful completion of the PgD SBIT

Admission Requirements
As this is a postgraduate diploma level course in IT, it is essential that all candidates have a strong knowledge of using IT. In addition candidates need to have an in depth knowledge of computer networking or, alternatively, study the Computer Networking & Management module. The PDSB is designed for IT professionals and thus, we believe, it is essential that all candidates can demonstrate at a high level a practical and theoretical command of networking on course completion.
An IT Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or
A non-IT degree but with at least 3 years work experience in an IT environment together with some management or supervisory experience, or
For non-degree holders, 5 years work experience in an IT environment together with some management or supervisory experience. It is recognized that many experienced IT professionals who work within the industry do not have a degree. Therefore, where an IT professional can display a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, and is able to show his/her suitability, he/she may be accepted onto the programme, and
For candidates whose Bachelor's degree was completed in a language other than English: TOEFL score of 580 - 600 or IELTS score of 6.0 - 6.5, LCCIEB ELSA Test or their equivalent.
Programme Structure and Duration
Academic Calendar:
Intakes: April, August and December.
Duration:
This programme can be completed in 18 months minimum or to a maximum of 3 years.
Each module is conducted over 7 weeks.
Programme Delivery:
Face to face and via electronic Virtual Campus (eVC)
Method of Assessment:
There are no examinations for all the modules. Students will be assessed entirely on coursework set according to the module learning objectives.
