USQ¡¯s Master of Business Administration is an
advanced programme designed for graduates who have practical experience
in business or government, and who have already proven their potential
for further advancement to greater managerial responsibility. The
course concentrates on those areas of modern management which give
candidates the opportunity to develop judgment, skills and attitudes
that are essential to managerial responsibility. Students taking the
course must supplement their generalist skills exploring an area of
management in depth chosen from a single discipline specialization or
in selecting any four units drawn from the range of discipline
specialization given.
At the end of the programme, student will be able to :
Thoroughly understand the basic theories and skills of modern management discipline areas
Display competence in a wide range of areas relevant to management practice at senior levels
Apply their knowledge of current behavioral, policy and strategic issues as to improve organizational efficiency
Use well-developed communication skills to interact effectively with other people at a superior and lower work level
Comprehend, analyze and evaluate internal and external environmental forces, and develop strategic plans for the management of change
Display a thorough understanding of the relevant political, cultural and business environment, and of ethical standards in modern business
Analyze developments in a chosen area of management, and to critically evaluate the relationships between such developments and contemporary theory and practice
Further enhance their managerial skills through a commitment to ongoing managerial development

Admission Requirements
A tertiary qualification at degree or equivalent level from a recognized institution.
Two to five years of work experience in relevant industry.
Candidates who do not have a degree will be permitted to enroll in the Postgraduate Certificate of Management only, provided that they have a minimum of five years full-time relevant and appropriate work experience, as determined by the Director, USQ Australia Graduate School of Business. Upon completion, they will be eligible to articulate into the Postgraduate Diploma in Management and ultimately Master of Business Administration.
