Programme Objectives

Master of Science in Business Information Technology enables students to:

  • Analyse and apply the fundamental principles involved in managing in an information technology environment.

    Important Notice: For all UOW-Master students, you are allowed only ONE ATTEMPT at a failed module.

Admission Requirements
  • An initial Bachelors degree in Computing, Information systems or related areas awarded by a recognised degree awarding body
  • A non-graduate qualification, which the University has deemed to be of a satisfactory standard for the purpose of postgraduate admission.
  • A non-graduate whose relative lack of formal qualifications is compensated for by his/her age and relevant work experience, provided the candidate has held, for a minimum of two years, a responsible position, which is relevant to the scheme to be pursued.
  • Proficiency in the English language as evidenced by a prior formal degree that used English as a medium of instruction or a TOEFL score of 550 or higher in cases where the medium of instruction in the prior formal education pursued is a language other than English.

All applications must be accompanied by :

  • 2 copies of Official Transcripts from University/College
  • 2 copies of Official Certificates
  • Application Form
  • 3 Passport Photos
  • Letter of recommendation from employer (2 years of work experience)

An interview may be required for certain cases.

Academic Calendar: Intakes: every Monday and Thursday.
Duration:

Minimum duration to complete the course is 2 years. Maximum duration is 5 years.

Programme Delivery: Face to face and via electronic Virtual Campus (eVC)
