1) What is inside this Mobile Learner Kit?
This Mobile Learner Study Kit is tailored to meet the needs of the adult learner who want to acquire knowledge and skills but cannot attend regular classes. The learner will have access to study materials and a student handbook which describes the processes of mobile learning.

2) How is the Mobile Learner program different from the traditional taught programs?
The Mobile Learner program is an electronic version of the taught program and is designed for self-paced independent learning.?

3) What is the entry requirement for this module?
If you are 21 years old and above with 2 years of relevant work experience, you are eligible to take up this module.

4) How long does it take to complete for one module?
Each module can be completed in one term or about 4 months. You are expected to spend at least a minimum of 6 weeks (150 hours) of self-study before you can attempt the coursework and the exams at the scheduled time. Each module may have coursework and/or exam components.

5) How do I register for exams?
Submission of the coursework is an indication of the registration for the exams in the particular term. Once you have registered for the examinations, we will send you the details of the examinations.

6) How do I access the coursework?
The coursework is available for download from the web portal. Instructions for submitting the coursework will also be stated on the web portal. Please note that the course work for each term differs and you must submit the correct coursework for the particular term.

7) After I¡¯ve registered for the exam, when will I receive my exam entry card?
Upon your registration, your exam dates and venue will be notified through the Purple Train web portal. You should print this entry card and bring it with you on the day of exam.

8) What should I bring with me to the exam site?
You should bring the entry card and your identity card.

9) When will I receive the results of my exam?
Your exam results will be released via sms. You may also access your results from the web portal.

10) What certificates will I get when I pass?
If you successfully complete the module, you will be awarded a Certificate of Credit. This credit will be transferable should you wish to continue on with the diploma.

11) Are my credits transferable to Universities?
Yes, credits are transferable to a range of Universities that have collaboration with Informatics.

12) Can I attend classes at Informatics Campus? Do I have to pay extra for this service?
Yes, you may attend the classes conducted at Informatics Campus, if the module(s) is/are available. You would need to pay for this service. Please contact the helpdesk personnel for assistance.
